Who we are

Care Crossing Home Health ("Care Crossing," "we," "us," or "our") provides non-medical in-home care services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you share when you contact us, request a consultation, or use our website.

A note on HIPAA

Care Crossing provides non-medical home care and is not a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). However, we treat any health-related details you choose to share with us with the same level of confidentiality and care that HIPAA expects.

Please do not include sensitive medical information (such as diagnoses, medications, or treatment details) in website forms, email, or text messages. If detailed health information is needed to plan care, we will collect it during a private consultation using secure intake procedures.

Information we collect

When you reach out to us, we may collect:

  • Contact information — name, phone, email, and ZIP code or service area.
  • Inquiry details — the relationship to the person needing care, preferred contact time, and any notes you choose to share.
  • Care preferences — type of care requested (companion, personal, dementia support, respite, etc.) and scheduling needs.
  • Website usage — basic technical data such as browser type, device, and pages visited, used only to keep the site running well.

How we use your information

We use the information you share only to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and schedule a free consultation.
  • Match your loved one with an appropriate caregiver.
  • Coordinate care, schedules, and follow-up communication.
  • Send important service updates (we do not send marketing spam).
  • Meet legal, licensing, and insurance obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

Who can see your information

Inquiry information is reviewed only by the Care Crossing team members who need it to respond to you and arrange care. We may share limited information with:

  • Caregivers assigned to your loved one — only the details required to provide safe, attentive care.
  • Trusted service providers (such as scheduling, email, and secure form software) bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect someone's safety.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you share with us. This includes encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website, access controls for staff, and secure handling of any sensitive information collected during consultations.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. For anything sensitive, we encourage a phone call to 781-406-0007.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry and care information only as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, tax, licensing, and insurance requirements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.

Your choices and rights

  • Access or correct the personal information we have about you.
  • Request deletion of your inquiry information, subject to recordkeeping requirements.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

To make a request, email privacy@carecrossing.com or call us. We will respond promptly.

Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies to keep the site functional and to understand general traffic patterns. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or to build advertising profiles.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults arranging care for themselves or a loved one. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the website.
